Pritzker heavyweights inluding Murcutt, Piano, and Herzog got together the past 3 days in Pamplona for Spain's first international architecture congress. Too much naval-gazing for young Barcelona-based architect Fredy Massad's taste, who's cheeky criticism included comments like "more hypocrisy for less self-criticism", while El País praised the underdog of the group, "anti-starchitect" Alejandro Aravena for his humanitarian design. Oh, and apparently Murcutt said it was his last public appearance, he's retiring to work at home.
